Custom build: Elite or Spree?
Should I drop the afo5e into the spree or keep it the elite? Thinking about lowering the spree both front and back, I would probly just paint the elite, thinkin white or black, nothin special. Hope to get speeds of 45 on either

Re: Custom build: Dio Elite or Spree?!?!
I like the looks better on the elite hands down. If you want more speed the spree is lighter and more nimble. I love how agile the spree is, and short. The elite has lockable storage also, hard to carry much on the spree.

Wow, i thought that the elites where a world better when it came to comfort. How much heavier are they than a spree?

Re: Custom build: Dio Elite or Spree?!?!
I misunderstood you, you meant that the spree rides rough because it's super small. I thought you meant that the elite would be a rougher ride.

Fallout, I can't speak for swim, but his comment to me sounded like the spree-dio is a rougher ride than an elite. If I'm wrong I apologize.Fallout Spree wrote:Wow, i thought that the elites where a world better when it came to comfort. How much heavier are they than a spree?

Re: Custom build: Dio Elite or Spree?!?!
a fast spree is fun to ride but hard on the body ...the shock bottom out way to fast and the front end give very little...

Re: Custom build: Dio Elite or Spree?!?!
Oops, fallout you beat me to it. So I guess it depends on what kind of riding you plan to do. I bet a spree-dio in a city or town would be a blast since its so nimble and quick.

Re: Custom build: Dio Elite or Spree?!?!
It will just be around town, the roads are pretty good around here too, not many cracks or potholes. I was going to lower the spree front and rear though so suspension travel would be non existent.

Re: Custom build: Dio Elite or Spree?!?!
The frame on the elite will be a lot stronger with less flex than the spree. A spree flexes quite a lot. If you are going to speed a ton of hours on a scooter the elite might be more comfortable as well. I love my spree and did a ton of miles with some pretty long rides but my main rider now is my 85 aero 80 because of the better tires, and ride. My spree is my midnight blaster now, I take it out and razz around town at night and surprise cars that it keeps up in town

Re: Custom build: Dio Elite or Spree?!?!
its kinda funny talking about something being more nimble than the elite, as its a very light, and easy to maneuver scoot, but yeah the spree is even more agile.deuce217 wrote:I like the looks better on the elite hands down. As for speed though, the elite is more easily made to go fast. Bolt on and you're good. Spree requires lots of modification.
I had a spree through college, then bought an elite, HOLY COW, its like a corvette vs a chevette. Test ride one of each and decide what you like better. I own 2-3 of each.
