you relize that you will have to mix gas then, becuast on the sb50 the oil is injected into the carb and not the intake. i alredy went down this route. i had one on my 45mph spree, but it also had a sa50 carb.

or you could keep the oil injection and install a manual petcock or even better install a sb50 carb while your in there
the sb50 is an aero right?

SE50 engine is very similar to an Aero, if not identical.

ok, whoever said something about a constant flowing petcock is crazy, you don't need one, you can use a stock one. the sb50 intake sb intake is from an elite E not from a honda aero, to use a sb50 intake you must use a sb50 carb or run premix. with the 85 aero you can use the intake and you spree carb but it can only be from a 85

yeah but if you had a constant flowing petcock you could inject oil through the vacume port you just freed up instead of running premix
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

forgive me but I do not know too much about elites, but would an 87 elite have the carb and intake I need or would it need to be a newer one? I found one for a decent price so i hope that is the year, but I get a feeling it isnt.

Maybe I'm just a simple old hot rod guy, but why not just drill and tap a hole and install a second nipple in the intake if you are going to use the Spree carb?
