spree engine swap
will a 1985 aero 50 engine swap into a 1986 spree? if so, what changes have to be made, and are the electrics the same? thanks for your help.

Re: spree engine swap
One example, re-using the Spree mount is in fellow Oregonian member devenex's thead - Link
IRC - engine electricals are same between 1985 Spree and 1985 Aero. Make sure the wire color/stripes all match.

Re: spree engine swap
The electrical matched with the 85 aero motor for me.
You'll need to move the shock mount and either re-use the spree motor mount (as I did) or get a 88-93 Elite mount and trim it a little bit for fit. Lastly, the center stand has to come out, so if you don't always want to be leaning it on stuff you need to figure out some kind of sidestand.
Ironically I was just hopping on the forum to look for a elite mount since re-using the spree mount causes a lot of vibration as part of the motor can touch the mount.

Greetings:
Lemme take this one, Graph:

Seriously Dawg, let the man sell his hard work at the price he chooses. With a near-total lack of fab/weld skills, I for one would buy it if I needed a mount. There is a premium for "Turn-Key" availability. But can you add the licking tongue?
