Oil pump plug

I installed a oil pump plug on my dio. After a few blocks it popped off. Do I need to put permartex or something. All I did was tapped it all the way down. Please advise. I'm noobing. Thanks

use the bolt hole for the original pump and bolt a little plate over it to stop it coming out .Also a little hondabond around the plug befor install helps stop air leaks

You still need to brace it just like the oil pump. I use the original hardware and a piece of steel to hold it in place. A bolt into the plug the bolt to the left and the steel as a brace between the 2.

Mine is recessed when I push it all the way in. I didn't use ant sealer, just a little oil on the o-ring. We will see how that works. I also made a little plate and put a spacer between the plug and plate to keep some preload on the plug. Here...scroll down.
