I ran that cylinder (w/ some porting) with a PG short and 26 oko. It hit @ 10k rpm at 66.1 mph.
Was also on 3.50/10 tires, 8.44 gears and slight tailwind. You're really not too bad with the V-8. Maybe once you get it broke in it will gain some?? PG shorts are inexpensive compared to other chambers.

Greetings:

Except for its moderately loud note, the PG short really is a great all-around pipe for the money. Flash 3.26 got its best top speed using it, over 71MPH, and none of my several Shorts ever developed the Rattle that the one Long I had did. (I'm aware that some do report the Rattle...) Score a nice used one if you can, but new is only ~$150-ish.
