Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

I've searched around the forums and seems like the zx50 kymco Speedo will bolt up to my elite 50. 2 questions I have on this, does the year matter of the kymco? And any chance of using the wiring plugs/harness or will I be stripping the elite one and splicing to kymco?

Ps for reference I have a 2001 elite 50 and the kymco is a 2001 zx50

So I found this http://www.tiny.cc/aj07by it looks pretty identical to the elite diagram. Before I purchase anything, does anyone know for sure if I can use my Honda harness with the kymco gauge?
