Been wanting to try some SB50 reeds myself. I got someone doing a port job on my intake, would love better reeds to go with it, but haven't found any yet.

They don't fit on af16 directly. The reed block is configured a little differently. If you made a riser/spacer for it then it would fit. I've already done this but if you want the parts I have them. PM me

Before I go swapping reeds Id like to hear from someone who has done it. From that post from Bear, he says "this Aero 80 reed cage will also fit the AF05E engines with the 4 bolt intake. It will not fit the AF05E Spree(NQ50), Elite E (SB50) or the 1985 Aero 50 (NB50M) which all have a 2 bolt intake." So youre saying it needs a spacer to fit my AF05E with a 4-bolt?

I think G9 has the spacers you seek, or at least he used to.

I think you can get an aftermarket reed cage for fairly cheap, or make your own carbon reeds from a reed sheet. If you can find a reed block from a dj1 w the af05 it'll have a 3-reed block.

All these should fit and work well w/o adapters. You can also get a malossi reed block, but it's like $80 and for that much you can almost get a nice big valve intake with a kx65-style v-shaped 4 petal or 6 petal reed block, but for that you'd need the intake adapter plate sss sells, like this one
