questions about dio

whats the reason you see a lot of dio engines with the rear crank case cover removed? also i read a lot about tuning the trans on a scooter. is tuning it just replacing the roller weights until it accelerates the way you want it to? and finally i know i saw this someplace i just cant remember where. what is the best dio. and what are the differences like between the honda dio and the sym dio and whatever other ones there are?

the sym has maller ports and is more shhotty... running the back half off keeps your clutch cool, so its accels better....

Keeps the whole trans cooler in general,belt,pulley rear drive etc
Tuning also involes jetting,clutch springs,center spring and front pulley ramp types
