I recently installed a bbk on one of my Aeros to get it back to life
The last one was running hot because there was crud under the shroud and i didnt know it. Overheated and lost compression
New bbk is on and it shidds and gits.
Malossi had reeds for it, but they are fiberglass and didnt quite lay flush.
I upjetted the pilot to 40 from 35 and went form 80 to 90 on the main jet, stock PA carb.
It fires right up and runs really well. I noticed when i first fired it up that there is some gas dripping out of the carb intake. I had a couple people tell me to check my reeds, but they seemd good when i redid the intake and cleaned it all. Should i be using those fiberglass or is this a different problem?
I need to figure out the main jet still. I would have done that but i ate s*** on a test run due to a sticky throttle cable. Not sure if i can just lube that either. also thinking about buying gloves

Re: AF05 gas in airbox
This should be pretty obvious, but it turned out to be stuck float needle. Took the carb apart and back together, doesnt leak any longer!

Re: AF05 gas in airbox
sorry if i missed seeing your thread last week.
My answer to your question would have exactly as you found...float needle.
Glad you discovered the problem and fixed it on your own. kudos.
GLOVES are number one essential gear for me. RARELY without them.
Am currently on my 3rd pair of Cortech DX gloves. Most comfy I've had.
