Verify the pipe doesn't have obstructions inside of it. Be sure the alignment of exhaust flange-gasket-pipe. Is your boost port cut properly. Is timing correct. Be sure reeds are not faulty or damaged.

When building a motor, I use Hondabond on every single connection except the head. For that I spray copper on it. The 2t is finicky about even the smallest of air leaks. It basically operates like a pump and is dependent on air pressures created inside the case. Drawing air/fuel on the upstroke and blowing exhaust out the pipe on the down. The reeds direct traffic for this but you dont want to be sucking in unregulated air from a leaking connection or blowing exhaust out of a gasket. Internal pressures keep the piston harmonically doing it’s dance.

What jets have you been trying? What carb you got? Stock intake/reeds? What air filter?

Same happened to me. Fancy “hi-flo” fan came apart at 10k. I put the OEM one back on while I research better fans to get…its been on there for two years now with no issues.

As Meatball already said, stock fan is best 10/10
