running spree in cold?

spree ran 32-36 in warm waether now its cold and it goes 27-31. is it because of the weather?

possibly. my elite seems not to be hitting its top speed ether.

In the cold they will run leaner.

thats what i thought. but its cool out and mine is smoking more. (so it seems)
smoke mean rich. and lean is mean, i would be going faster not slower. im confused

It also depends on the relative humidity of the climate. If the humidity is very low, what you see as "smoke" might actually be just steam, like when you can see your breath on "very" cold days. (I live in southern NC now, but I'm from FL, so this whole "cold" thing is still new to me. 80 degrees on New Years Day is not at all unheard of in Orlando.)

It's gotten quite a bit cooler in Charlotte in the past week, down to mid-40's in the morning when I'm leaving for work, and I've noticed my Spree produces alot more visible exhaust in the mornings than it did 2 weeks ago. Once it's good and warm though, it works pretty much just like when it was almost 100 degrees.

The cold air is denser to a point where you must richen the carb settings..

i remember all that from last year, its cold out now, i dont want to even be here in a month
