What size weights does everyone run??
Just wondering what weights i should run in my bike for best take off and top speed. I had 9 and 11's and it was fine but i still have a 1/4 inch at the top of the pulley. Besides does anyone have a problem with the ones from vtcycles flat spotting fast?

How often do you have to replace the rollers then?Kenny_McCormic wrote:Flat spots on the rollers, they do more sliding than rolling in most cases.
Also, since the 6 rolling areas on the variator are symmetrical, can you just use 3 weights instead of 6?
Like 3 weights of 12 would be the same as 6 weights of 6? Or doesn't that work?

Yes it does. I've tried this on virtually every vari I've had at one point or another. Jog has 3x 6g weights now in stock vari, rotational symmetry keeps things balanced.jonsteffen wrote:How often do you have to replace the rollers then?Kenny_McCormic wrote:Flat spots on the rollers, they do more sliding than rolling in most cases.

On Dio style I'd say 6g-8g is sweet spot for revs, but depends on your supporting mods. On Jog style 3g-4.5g

You are honestly the least contributing member on here! Why are you even here really? Your posts are not informative but just show off skills that you never even back up.
