'84 head on '86 spree

So with spring break finally here I was able to swap a older style head onto my Spree. Unfortunately I don't have a GPS, so I can't quantify anything more than what my speedo read for top speed.

So top speed went up about 1 mph, but the real difference was in the acceleration. I didn't have to do the little-kid-kicky-thing (anyone who's had to cross a busy road on a Spree should know what I'm talking about) as it actually jumped off the line with some power of its own!

So now my Spree tops out at 30mph, which is about what I expected. The real story though is the gains in power, I didn't know it would be so noticeable.

Does this fit with the experience of you guys who have also done this mod?

EDIT: I forgot to say that I also have a sb50 intake and reeds that I'll be adding too at some point, so stay tuned.
