the 87 is the easiest bike to do the dio motor conversion on. The 87 motor itself you can already aquire a bore for that motor you have on it now..It has a very light frame yet maybe not as light as the spree or elite E but a better breaking system.there are parts from the 87 motor that you can use for a dio motor too.The plastics however is harder to get for aftermarket but You can still get them oem I believe.Hope this helps with your decision.

Depends if you want to ride it. If not, dump it. Can't need too much work, these things only need a little to go forever.
