That would be Hood Canal, the western most body of water of Puget Sound. The mountains in the background are Mount Washington and Mount Ellinor, the southern most peaks of the Olympic Mountains.

40 minutes from Olympia and 40 minutes from the Seattle Ferry. I used to live here and work in Seattle commuting everyday. But living here is way better than living in Seattle. I know because I've lived both places.

Actually I lived in what is now Shoreline originally (they were just building I-5 then). Then after the military I lived on Capital Hill near downtown, then back in Shoreline, then moved out to Mukilteo, then over next to Paine Field south of Everett, then we moved over to this side in 1982 and never even considered leaving this area. Now that I'm retired I will die here eventually.

I don't think i'd like living in Hawaii, i like my 4 seasons. Guess i'd have to try it first but i like the change in weather we get, i just wish winter was a little shorter (2 months instead of 4-5 months would be perfect).
