Rode 50 miles tonight......first adjustment will be valves as I suspect they've never been......will need to step up the front sprocket one tooth to get some more top end, maybe down two on the back......tires are great for dual purpose, but cornering sucks on pavement........possibly a 17" on front with some Pirellis or sumpin' likem....... :urban:

If it was 1970, it was probably an SL-100. Honda decided X was racier than S sometime around '74. I'm not sure, though. I don't remember much about the 60s or 70s. Not sure why...

The SL models ran '70-'73.......then XL ran '74-'85.....after that, only the off-road XR models.........the only difference
from '73 SL 100 to '74 XL 100 is the addition of turn signals....then subtle changes in fenders began in '75,
head design in '76, exhaust design in '77 and it started getting plastic crap.....hey, that's progress...... :hi:

5-speed gear-box helps, but current dual-sport ratios will require sprocket change to get 60mph.....the CB 100 was geared to do 60, but only just..........what I lack in speed is compensated for in fun............. :urban:

Greetings:

The CT-70 topped out at 47. The SL-70 perhaps 52. Surely the SL-100 can make 55-60. Otherwise, happy hunting for that extra couple of teeth.
