Although the elite 80 is not the best looking scooter on the market, it is often touted as the most reliable scooter ever. I'd pay $75 for that.

The CL post is an Elite 80, 4t. Still a good buy at that price. IMO, a titled frame is worth that and then you can swap in a different engine if you don't like the 80. It will never be a racer with the stock engine but a great little Sunday cruiser or learner bike.

.....well worth it......Elite 80's will take some hard city thrash riding, not a bolt of lightning speed, have gotten 104 miles per gallon on steady 40 mph ride by my witness...I like'm just fine...find good bikes here from $450-$800, newer ones are more....better snag it, dude.... :hi:

Despite it's shortcomings in the combustion per revolution department, I've heard legends of 100,000mi+ Elite 80 engines that saw no more than basic maintenance. As long as you change the oil, it may well last you forever (or close enough to it).

Greetings:

If you plan to restore and ride, you might do better spending a little more and find one in better/morecomplete condition.
However if you can pick it up for $75-$100, the parts clearly are worth more - way more - on fEeBay. Perhaps that would be the way to make some money for a better one? Either way, buy it.

Most of my money is spent on scooterparts. The rest is just wasted.
