The 250 Trials bike is the only 250 Hodaka I know of, but no doubt it was used in a MX and maybe a street bike too. That is one slick looking motor....it has a distinctive angle about the fins...... :thumbwink:

Hodaka: 250 SL, 250 ED, 250 SE Are the three that I remember. Those are from shows though. Here in small town Iowa, I only knew of the Ace 90, Ace 100, Combat Wombat and Road Toad as a kid.

Makes sense to me. Everything seemed to be off the Japanese shelf back then and stick it in an American frame.

Same is true for myself.....not a whole lot of Hodakas around unless you happen to live near a dealer. My first ride on Hodaka was a "B-90", possibly refined later to "Super Bee 90",....and in the line-up also was the "super Rat" and a "Wombat" without camo. Continued discussion will likely attract some more Hodaka enthusiasts with the knowledge to help with your anticipated swap....... :thumbwink:

Been looking around at Hodaka stuff....several models we missed, see Wikipedia....found a shot of a "Thunderdog" 250 SL (Street Legal=SL).....APPARENTLY,.....the Ace 100 appeared in 3 grades, the A, the B, and the B+
...SO I'm thinking it was the Ace B+ we were calling a Super Bee....probably a nickname more than an actual model.

I knew about the alA and B because my first one was a B. Off to wiki to learn about B+ and the 250 models...

Yes, good read,...AND the resources at the end of the article also revealed some Hodaka info....Forum for Hodaka ONLY.... :hi:
I also found a vintage dirt-bike forum and posted on your behalf asking for the likelihood that the 250 is a bolt-in to the Ace 100 frame. If I get a response, I alert you.... :urban:

Honestly I hadnt really thought about it baka, I havent read any info of anyone using those on the cb450. One thing I can think of is OKOs i have seen are only made with the adjustment screws on the left side, no right handed ones

Mystic, I agree with baka....I have no idea of any Mikuni 32's...the OKO might be the way to go for accessability, parts too....my son has a '74 450 with the sock CV's and will be doing something with them this summer....they need complete builds or replacement..... :hi:

Pull the engine and reinstall it when you get there if that would make it fit.
