Yes, I grew up in Fulton, moved over here about 9 years ago. I am fixing to move back across the river here in a few months. I have an appointment to look at a couple of houses in IL. today, one in Albany and one between Fulton and Morrison.

27 here. Now I'm puzzled- am I just on top of the hill, or am I on the downhill side?

27.

I've met some people before who had Honda Metros (they were all related. was a mom, dad and adult daughter. the son who I never met had a lil ruckus) but they didn't seem very interested in the idea of group rides. Talked to a guy once who had a 150cc'ish Chinese scooter. I have seen others riding around last summer but it was usually when I happened to be in my car.

I have a good friend who's 55 and she has a Goldwing Trike and has owned other motorcycles in the past. She wanted to try my Spree one day and I figured "Why not? She has plenty of motorcycle experience." Well, she crashed it not even a block away. *lol*. But at least she had the sense to go for dirt and grass when the throttle stuck open for her instead of crashing in the street. It probably hurt her worse than it did the Spree. She somehow didn't hear me point to and tell her about the kill switch before she cranked it and took off. It just cracked the plastic up by the headlight was all mostly. She said she'd pay to replace the plastic but eh, it's not too bad. Maybe if I decide to sell the Spree some day I might hold her to that. She recently told me she had been thinking about getting a 2 wheeled cycle again but after crashing on the Spree it made her think twice about it. *lol*

That is why my sig quote says what it does:

Riding a a spree is A LOT different than a full size motorcycle.

Well, yes. But she said the throttle stuck open. She let off of it and it kept going. I guess she was a bit too heavy for it and it put the throttle cable in a bind.

Inexcusable. Any cyclist worth their salt knows where the cutoff switch is on a bike. They're all in the same place for a reason.
