In the movie "Christine" There is a great line I use today and will never forget.

"You can't polish a turd"

That line makes me laugh evertime I see that movie!

Guys don't knock the Wildfires until you try them. I had a 06 I bought wrecked and fixed up, it was one of the most stable and reliable scooters I had!

nice little scoot. almost bought one last year but decided if i was going to pay a little over a grand for a scoot, i may as well save more money and buy a ruckus instead. although never did buy one (had a kid instead) so things got tight and still are. lol (most americans can agree on this at the moment) just recently gotta spree for free so its gonna be the commuter if i can get things straitened out...

Buy yourself some lock-tite. you'll prolly need it. i've seen alot of these wildfire products. all of them seem to vibrate bolts N stuff loose. especially the larger dual sport bikes, quads and pit bikes. Also a service manual wouldnt hurt. never does for any gas powered object you buy.

pay no mind to the haters. the gy6 is a honda clone. period. sym and kymco build dio clones, yet nobody seems to hate on the 2-smoke honda clone. the gy6 shares trandmission components with the af16 (variator, clutch bell, rollers, possibly the clutch) and the gy6 powered scoots CAN be very nice and reliable. the problem is often the quality controll (or lack thereof) in the chineese factories. some brands of gy6 clones are better than others, most all of them use very cheap plastic for the body panels, but replacement panels are cheap accordingly.
the gy6 150cc will bolt right on, or they make a few different big bore kits. my friend has an 80cc kitted gy6, it's a nice ride, and decently quick, no more hill problems, great gas milage.
here's some downright NASTY gy6 action for you:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhzWjgG_IxM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xKJIdvNd38

in the immortal words of DAC, "it's not WHAT you ride, it's THAT you ride."

i move to start a "gy6 and gy6 clone" section, as the gy6 qualifies as part of "the rest of the 50cc honda lineup" mentioned in the logo. we have very little tech support for the four stroke stuff.

*edit* Uhhhhh.... so where in northern michigan are you???

I'm actually not a hater.... One moment in time I considered buying a Chinese bike, but I didn't.

There are enough horror stories on the net to fill the library of congress isthe reason why I decided against it.

Yes they are a GY6 Honda clone.

BUT....They still are not manufactured with the same quality as a Honda, Yamaha, Vespa ..etc...etc..

For this reason I assume but could be wrong that most people on here dislike them. (I think it's a warranted reason)

Also like others have said "this is a Honda sight" so what did you expect to hear.

No no they are nothing like a honda, but this one i have has held up alright seams me and my friend take it on the ORV
trails.
Its got 3500 ish Miles on it and its a 2008 but only rode in summer 2009, i bought it new. I have a print out of it new but i have to find it and scan it,

More pictures will come soon that are better quality.

I can agree that any honda or yamaha scooter is always a better scooter, but i sold my 84 spree and a $2,000+ scooter just wasnt and option to me.
