Welcome. Happy beginning of Austral Spring season, too.
Your DJ most resembles a scooter sold in the U. S. and A. only in 1987; the SE 50 ELITE. The engine should have AF O5 E stamped on its rear transmission cover. US SA50 scooters retained the same engine until 1993. The Year of the Great Scoosmic Upheaval here was 1994.
Go-Slightly-Faster parts for the 05 are available in abundance, provided you consider 3 current bore kits (Polini, Malossi 47mm/65cc and CMR 46mm/63cc from VT Cycles)
"abundant. There is only one pipe and it's becoming scarcer: The LeoVince SP-3 kit number 4447.
Gear kits ready-to-install are limited to too-tall 67-6458 16/32t Primaries for a Final Drive of 7.83:1. Manifolds like the CT from OKO can be adapted but not a straight-up fit.
Only good news: Variators for SA/16 engines fit just fine, as long as you re-use the SE/05 pulley boss over your skinnier crank. Having built 2 05s and knowing what I now know, if I had your SE I'd probably settle for a variator and something north of 75 KPH, all day long.

Most of my money is spent on scooterparts. The rest is just wasted.

wow I thought mine was quick lol
I got caught doing 71 kph which is about 44 mph but that was down hill
The cop asked what the rush was
Werid thing is mine started to make a weird stutter at that speed
Hello Sliding
I have been looking on a New Zealand site Trade Me for a while and when I did try to contact a seller
Trade Me figured out I was from USA and bounced me ,so I never did get to contact the guy selling Honda Gyro Up parts .
I also look at your Kiwi Biker site and heard about a scooter meet where they cut some poor guys Vespa in 1/2 , I imagine he was a bit upset .
I am glad you signed up here as you could provide some helpful info and possibly get some good info on your bike .
I would love to find a way to get parts from some New Zealand scooters ,but the $hipping is murder .$ $ $
Hope you post more photos of local bikes .
Here are some pics of the bikes I need parts for .
Also do they have any 1985-86 gyros there ?
I am especially looking for the carb cover it's the black cover that go's on top of the rear fenders .
Or on the Gyro Up the canopy that would probably cost more to ship than what it costs new .
Again hope to see more of you on here .
