All you do is talk with nothing to back it up... any one can make up a story to back his idea up. Build a drag scoot and race it.. come back with proof to back up you theories.. maybe then some one will listen to you. Right now were all laughing at you
But numbnuts, that is not what you claimed. You said that 100 lbs was worth a .10 on the ET. So now you are changing the claim? Oh and was the ET a .10 of a second faster or are you full of crap there?

Bear : Actually it was suprasnsprees who made that stupid comment not ottoman. Ottoman only asked about the drivers weight, and said nothing about top speed.

Ottoman: all bear is saying is that the MPH in a 1/8th mile race means very little.
Spreemadness went 72.4mph on my bike in the 1/8th mile.
Your bike did 66.5mph in the 1/8th mile........but whos bike is quicker in a 1/8th mile race.

I don't have to prove anything. And all you prove is that you are a troll with no knowledge and a big fat EGO dispensing bad or poor info. Image

Keep Image and in 5 or 20 years you might get here, troll boy.

Sorry about the mixing people up.

I have often see the slower mph car beat the faster mph car. Drag racing is about ET, not mph. Also in drag racing no speed or ET record stands unless backed up with a second run, otherwise repeatable. Also how the scooter is staged can make a drastic difference in what ET or mph it turns. So this comparison is an apples and orange thing until the variables are eliminated.

Tjamz is right, who is quickest is what drag racing is about. Quick = ET.

And for the sake of adding info to this silly bickering , every 100lbs is a tenth of a second

The weight will only effect the ET not the top speed. What is this obsession with weight?
Sorry I hate disagreeing with people but this is incorrect information. In drag racing weight effects both ET and mph *

*Unless you run out of gear. Then obviously the machine your racing wont trap a higher MPH. Peace

Maybe for a particular weight range and a particular car but this isnt a rule that works through a range of weights and cars.
"and for the sake of adding info" This was pretty bad info. especially in a scooter forum. Im not a know it all im just trying to eliminate bad information. Peace

Actually the 100lbs = 1/10th has been a std rule of thumb in car 1/4 mile drag racing since I can remember.
Using Supermans example were removing 100lbs lowered his et by one second makes it look like 10LBs = 1/10th on a scooter.. in the 1/8 mile that is.
These are just general rules.

Traffic.. yea I think on our last day at the strip our best was 9.4 @ 67.5 MPH with a 190 lb rider and 15.8 at 77 in the 1/4 mile. Wish I could lower the gear some more but were stuck with only a few gearing options. Probably end up putting the nitrous back on to take advantage of the gearing.
