....I've been bird-watching for a long time, but never before have I experienced such a rare treat as having a bird land on me and remain calm while I snap off a few proof shots.....awaiting joke about bird-brain....

thats really kewl motormike, it is a very rare experience and sorta imparts a sense of awe

I have had hummingbirds land on me. this must have happened in a place you frequently sit so that the wildlife has assumed you are part of the natural surroundings

Good shot and wild hat!

No bird's landed on me, but I had a humming bird buzz me while gardening. They make a racket when next to your ear.

Loads of fun those Hummers...they have tried to feed on my IU tee-shirt cause it has a red logo in the center of a grey shirt...I keep feeder for hummers...When a hummer finds a feeder, he will "claim it" with an intricate dance/flight pattern repeating until there is a mental signature that allows them to find that feeder again...IMHO...this little chickadee was confused by my full-length glass door, and flew into it hard....I picked him up and sat him on the shelf on my front porch...took a pic...then I put him in my left hand....before I could take a pic, birdie flew onto my left shoulder, focusing on my shoulder....he flew onto my hat....was able to snap 4 shots....adios amigo....no *, I felt...DUH!.....tjamz-like the pix, thanx.....the HAT?....tribute to Bear Bryant....WallyWorld=$5.....

I for one love birds, i had a parakeet and a * for years they would often refuse to go back in the cage and sleep on my head all night longer, yes they do * everywhere but what do you do its a fact of life. I have 2 lovebirds now and I hate them they are mean as * but that is love i reckon hahahha glad to see a lighter side around here

This brings back sad memories of my pet bird fluffy. He died of a canarial disease, called "chirpies" it was untweetable.
