Re: The Daily Chat
Then, came along this one. 1983 Urban Express...1,316 miles.
The pix are after 6 weeks of work and parts. Runs very good.
Probably still some issue with the cold-start enrichment system.

Greetings:
Was the P.O. a neat-freak or is the impeccable cleanliness the result of Motor's efforts?

Re: The Daily Chat
This Riva probably had a very meticulous original owner-lady who preserved the integrity of it for the first 25 years. Then, a 2nd owner, also a clean-freak, bought it for a wife who had little interest in riding. He sold it to me after a couple years of neglect by the wife. While I am not the same level of obsession with cleanliness, all the credit for this one goes to the P.O.'s In contrast, I CAN take the credit for the Urban Express you see above in this thread. It was a filthy, rusty mess when I got it in June. Motor worked his fingers to the nub making that one into what you see today. Motivation provided by the wish to give my girlfriend a nice-looking, solid running scoot to keep for her own. I am pleased that I was able to bring the Urban back to a status of "pretty clean". It took me considerable effort to spend some very hot hours in the garage getting it sorted to the current condition. It has been a busy season of bikes around here. Currently the stable consists of 11 bikes, and space is a continuous issue. Right now, I have a 1984 Gyro on the lift doing a deep clean. Have owned the bike a year now, and it runs great, but it was quite oily under the body work, and I could not stand it any longer.

Re: The Daily Chat
Greetings:
A Pinto wagon (Tell me there's a 302 under the scoop!) AND a 400 Majesty on the same day?! Whuja, win the lottery?
Nice scores! Cool mural too.
What the heck is that swoopy contraption nose-to-nose with the Maj?

Re: The Daily Chat
Not exactly as you say Wheelie...Pinto acquired last month, and it is officially known as a "Cruising Wagon".
After purchase, I stumbled into some info regarding a provenance of the Pinto.
Previous seller claimed the Pinto was a product modified by the Holman-Moody race team.
Through a conversation with Lee Holman, I find out that the Pinto was not something the race team did, but
instead an effort by Ralph Moodys shop after he had split from the team. Ralph was into racing Pintos
during the 70-80 era, and possibly as many as 130 cars were produced with the Moody touch.
2.8 V-6 btw, with Offenhauser and Holley.
As for that "batman" motorbike, my friends Honda NM4. You'll have to google the specifics as I'm not in the know.
The Majesty was a marketplace find in nearby Dover, TN. Lady owned since new(2013) with under 2k miles.
I spent a year contemplating my next move, wanting a bit more pony-power than the trusty Helix platform could deliver.
Mind you, I do not abandon Helix easily, considering that ultra-cush saddle and knee-dragging ride height...but time had come.
In preparation to sell the Helix, I've installed two new Shinkos. The first prospective buyer sent a $100 deposit to secure the sale,
and then proceeded to j-e-r-k me around by postponing pick-up a couple times, and then yesterday he was a no-show, no-call.
I find that very disrespectful, and have communicated to him my displeasure. He replied with some millennial sassy-talk and forfeited his deposit.
Were it not for storage space being a premium here, I might just keep it...idk.
Thanks for the shout Guy...rock-on...motor...
