ATTN those who live near the Cascades

Post by Mystic »

I was reading the news this morning and I felt like I should point this out since there are several members on the board that live in Washington state. At least take your shoes off before you track dirt into the bedroom :P

Thanks for the FYI but, I'm not in the least concerned. I would have heard about it locally if it was a grave concern. Besides, we are used to living under the shadow of a volcano that can go at anytime.

Unfortunately, you won't hear about it...not through the mainstream media. The thing about this is it is not an immediate threat. It becomes a problem over time as these particles accumulate. It takes around 30 years or longer for cesium to become inert and it is absorbed into the ecosystem like potassium. I think people should be at least informed that way they can at least choose what to do about it. Most people choose to ignore it but as the debris field gets closer and closer to the pacific coast the situation cannot be ignored forever. I feel like it is my duty as a concerned citizen to inform my peers of a potential, unseen threat.

Yet another cover up from our government? At the airport I fly at, there have been 3 mountain lion sitings, but the powers that be insist that there are none around.

Big deal, I have cougars and bears around all the time. No one locally cares because we know how to deal with real threats.

The big deal is, you can't shoot a firearm on any airport property...anywhere! and the point I am making is our govt. is covering up again!

Actually that is incorrect. Fire ares are only restricted in the secure areas behind screening. You are perfectly legal to be caring a firearm in the parking area, the ticket and baggage check areas. Oh and what law is it that says you can't fire a weapon on an airport? I actually know where there is airport property that is hunted all the time and guess what they shoot on it every deer season.

Most of my money is spent on scooterparts. The rest is just wasted.
