Re: Puch moped
It might be worth it; it depends on how much you're willing to spend (effort/time) on another project.
It looks complete, so hopefully it will just be something simple to repair.
What are the local laws regarding title? How hard is it to get a replacement title?
Does the local laws require a moped to be titled? and insured?
What is the purpose of this moped (for you)? Will you be using it on the road? or will this be a pit bike?
There are still parts for the Puch (you can do a quick search on fleabay and you'll see a few).
Compare the price of those on fleabay and see if it's a decent deal for your area.
Now that the sensible parts are out of the way.
I LOVE PUCH! I don't have one but they are way cool!
I'd like to own one someday, along with my Kharmann Ghia, and a few other 'toys'...

Re: Puch moped
My opinion is yes, it is marginally worth $300....the MAXI is desirable among the moped culture and has plenty of people looking for them. Condition is king, but there are upgrade options for the Puch motors that make repairs and rebuilds pretty common. I would be more inclined to buy at $150...repairs will cost plenty making $300 for a non-runner kinda "salty"....g'luck....
