Well he knows his stock stuff but he is 30 years behind the times on high perf. I just got sick of him telling my how stupid he thought I was..... he is just stuck in the 80's and refuses to admit things have progressed since his day.
As far as respectfull.. well me and bear are around the same age and respect goes both ways.
