So this dude on a crazy fast scooter gets a fly-by from a *ick on a street bike. What he does in return is priceless....

Looks like hes shifting with the left brake handle...hmmm..NEXT MOD!

The shifting of scooter transmissions has been done this way on Vespas ever since they were first made, and still is on some models. Even the Genuine Stella has the same shifting. NOT a MOD...it is factory OEM....and personally, I absolutely hate it.

I thought it was a funny video but...ok then

Ive never had or ridden a Vespa so I wouldn't know about them. Just different Hondas, Yamahas and a handful of Taotao Chinese stuff. They've all been auto shift. I even used to have a Honda FatCat years ago that you had to shift but was automatic on the take-offs.

You may be right ive seen quiet a few build threads over my time and some in other languages, if it is indeed a 200 modle it probably has the mallossi 219?cc kit. On probably stock gears and with the polini under belly pipe. Thats a setup ive seen a few times.

I wouldnt mind doing something with a PX150 someday but dang they are pricey. Beat up ones are pretty few and far between too. I've seen that Vespa have released some limited edition 75th anniversary PX's that are up around the $7000 mark. Used ones in ok condition go for about $2500 - $3000... Think of the Honda you could build for that mula!!

I've seen this video before, and other vespas w that twist-shift deal and it seems like it would be incredibly hard to get right.
