Changing MMM section to general clubs section

Hey guys,

I was reading some posts here and thinking about changing the MMM part of the board to a clubs section.

The idea would be for all the clubs (there are at least 2-3 that I can think of) to put up a post with a topic name of "Club - City, State" and then in the post list the members. The post could change as membership changes.

The rest of the posts on the board would announce rides and things.

This would allow new users to seach for clubs in this area, and might wake up this section of the board a bit. It would allow for clubs like mopedarmy, although the functionality wouldn't be as good.

Waddaya think?

this is a really good idea. if there are a bunch of clubs, it would be neat to see where they all are.

OK, so that's done... any ideas on how to go about administering it?

I thought maybe each club puts in a posting, listing the members. Title of the post should be the name of the club and location (city, state, country if outside US).

For for MMM:

Subject: Michigan Moped Mafia (MMM), Detroit, MI

Text: We are a Michigan-based scooter club bla bla bla
Members are Darat, mopedman, Dac, etc

Just curious why "Michigan moped mafia" when it's scooter based?

because the guys who made it (mopedman and darat) didnt fully know the difference between mopeds and scooter when they made the group. Once they started it, they just kinda rolled with it.

Its not really scooter based, its a mix of scooters and mopeds. Its just as of right now, all the real moped guys run to the moped army and we are left with scooters.

It should be scooter/moped mix anyway. No hatin! And...the secretary of state gives you a registration that says "original moped"
