The below is a picture of the Highway Speed Pipe that I used to build and sell. This is made from a pocketbike pipe fitted to a stock 19mm Spree downpipe.
Note the correct length of downpipe for this pipe to match the original, at about 9" in length. Also note the attachment to the original exhaust mounting; this gets the pipe low enough to fit with panels. This pipe is tuned for around 8-9K RPM.
Low end power is reduced, with speed picking up around 20 MPH, where it takes off. Previously with a shortened stock pipe, I was hitting around 28 MPH. Now I can do 33, albeit it takes longer. Retuning the fixed ratio transmission helps balance launch with speed, as always.
Keep in mind, this is all done with the stock airbox and #65 jet. I haven't found that rejetting is required with this modification.
