Help with a Piaggio Fly 50

This scooter will not start or even act like it wants to start ever.

I took a compresion test and it was 150psi

I checked for spark. It had spark.

Well since it had both spark and compression, I figured it must be a fuel issue.

But even when I sprayed starter fluid , It did not even pop or anything.

I am stuck and don't know what to check now.

PLEASE HELP

PS the Piaggio 50 is a 2007 and it is a four stroke. I did also check to see that the valves were moving up and down and the timing chain is not broken.

Did you try changing the plug? i assume you checked spark with the plug out of the cylinder. in natural atmospheric pressure it IS possible for the plug to conduct spark, but then when put into a Harsh environment such as being pressurized at 150 psi, it is possible for the plug to be to weak to conduct electricity. I've seen it on cars before numerous times.

maybe also try pullin plug, and either puttin in a small small small amount of gas, or startin juice in the cyl, screw the plug in real quick and spin it over. maybe that'll narrow down a bit. I've seen ALOT of these china made scoots and quads and pit bikes have Valve Clearance issues. What i mean is are valves adjustable, and if so, whats the clearance gap between rocker arm and valve top?

my buddy's pit bike was exact same way. We opened valve clearance to .004 on both intake and exhaust and it ran again. .004 worked, but he ended up puttin it upto .007 cuz tolerances were upto .010.

Lemme know what ya fidn out man!

I did try to squirt some starter fluid in the spark plug hole, then replace the plug real quick......but still no bang.
I have not tried another plug, but the one I have is brand new, the porcelin is still white.

More Ideas please.. I am really stumped on this one

Get me the motor model number if possible. ill look up the china specs on the valves. its worth a shot. 9 outta 10 of these china made motors has valve issues. Its got spark AND if you put fuel in it manually, it should fire unless it aint Firing or none of the valves are opening? in my opinion.

Hey how about timing?

Piaggio is an italian scoot like a vespa you don't want it just send it to me. :ndance: :ndance:
also it is likely a fuel injected bike

I have no reference to check timing. This is not a cheap chineesy, but it is built just like one.
There doesn't seem to be any marks on the fly wheel for timing. (just the pickup marks)
Any info on how to check timimg a cheap chineese would be great.
I will check the valve clearance to day and report back.

I don't know about the 50 but I know there was a bad circuit board in a fly 150 at my local dealer. It would only get up to 25mph. Maybe if the 50 has it, it won't start at all :?:
