spree 44mm big bore kit

Post by mopar4u »

I'm inpatient and can't wait. I emailed tazland001 for this info but he is offline. I don't have his instructions for the big bore kit handy and i'm ready to start putting my spree back together. I'm not sure if the piston rings are identical, if they have a top and bottom and if there is a marking on the piston that is supposed to point to the exhaust or intake?? Can someone post his installation instructions? Do I use the factory head bolt torque specs?

yes, yes, and yes, the rings are the same no top or bottom, use the factory head bolt torque specs 7-9 ft lbs, and the ex on top of the piston points to the exhaust port.

thanks

so to confirm

things rings can go on either slot on the piston AND they aren't beveled one way or another so there is no top or bottom to each ring?

no top or bottom or bevel. just make sure you get them in the correct placement you know with the open groove lined up with the little tit.
