I drew some arrows pointing towards the center and I'm getting a little confused.
Based on the differences in the gauge between 15mph 25mph and 35mph marks it looks like 30* = 10mph,
I extended the cluster based on the 15,25,35 differences
it looks like every 15* = 5mph
when the needle shoots past 35 it looks like this:
barely touching top of "k" in "km/h" as well as the top left of "F" showing full tank is 40mph
crossing "m" from "mph" and "e" from "fuel" is 45mph
clearing the "mph" and hitting the "T" from "turn" is 50
pointing exactly to the right past the "TURN" is 55
I'll try to make it prettier, here is a rough sketch

Re: Elite cluster (seeing past 35mph)
does anyone have a good scan of a cluster removed from the bezel?
how would one make a cluster, print on plastic?

I don't really have any words of wisdom, but if you figure this out and print out a nice basic guage cluster background, I would snatch one up from you because I am not so savy with computers.

This is a great question - I was looking into it as well.
