I'm sure it hurts the pocket,....usually it's just a pair of sunglasses.

If you think its going to survive in the housing me and my dad can make it up in the next couple days? It should be water proof but I dont know for how long

Only if you want to.....
That is the only spot on the river that has quick current. There is probably lots of stuff down there from canoes flipping over in that spot.
How would you even see anything at the bottom of the river?

Not so clear that I can see the bottom.....It is probably 15 feet deep there or more
It is only a $200 camera......it might not be worth it
