Re: My First Spree Swap (Aero NH125)
Honda didnt ship any manual petcock nq50s to the US, those are only on japan Eves and overseas models. IF it was on an 87 Spree you would have to cut a hole in the faux petcock cover as it was made into the panels whereas the pre87s had the removable petcock cover sooo either you have to take the petcock cover off everytime you switch the fuel on and off OR you could use some fiberglass to cover the spot where the petcock cover goes then cut a small hole in that to make it look like the foreign nq50s. the manual petcocks are a lot easier to fool with in the long run than the auto ones because once they go you cant really fix them, the manual ones you can take apart to clean

Re: My First Spree Swap (Aero NH125)
Here's a pic of the manual valve installed, works great.
I don't have a petcock cover so I'm not worried about it. But I do have a spare horn cover I might try to fit up.
Also capped off the intake port with a rubber cap. I'm thinking I could use this port for a boost tube, maybe a future project I could experiment with.

Re: My First Spree Swap (Aero NH125)
That is a manual valve in the picture, but of course you don't have the smarts or the experience to look at it and know that. Discussing this kind of thing with you is like talking with a neanderthal about mechanical stuff. A complete uphill battle, but a loosing battle none the less. Because you can not teach a comparative moron anything.niftyman wrote:You really are a * arnt you the manual on off valve is fitted with the switch on the out side of the panels

Re: My First Spree Swap (Aero NH125)
Decided to get some lighter variator rollers, stock rollers are 21g and I went down to 15g.
Also did a little research and read that rounding the sharp edges of the ramp plate will help avoid roller wearing. So I did that with my dremel, using a little grinding stone.
I still need a new drive belt, my current belt is a old bando brand and it's cracking. I'll be buying a expensive stock honda belt as a replacement, then I'll know everything thing is good on the drive face.

Every stock Honda belt I have ever seen was made by Bando.

Re: My First Spree Swap (Aero NH125)
Thanks, performance could be better but it's obviously a world of difference compared to a stock spree.Carnie wrote:Looks pretty sweet man; nice job! What's the performance like?
It has low compression, I need to tear it down and see what It needs. Maybe I can get away with just a ring job, but might need a new piston and a bore job. A new belt will help for sure and possibly a bigger main jet for the mikuni.

Here's a couple short videos, I was testing a camera mount but it's too shaky.

On a scoot, I don't know how stable you are you to make any mount. Haha. I can barely make sense of what's in my mirrors when I'm on the road, let alone a camera.
