Re: LOW COMPRESSION ON FRANKENSPREE
u need to hold the throttle wide open when doing the compression test
Re: LOW COMPRESSION ON FRANKENSPREE
Also after the first test, put a 1/2 teaspoon of 2 stroke oil in the spark plug hole, let sit for 10 minutes and do the test again. If the number comes up like 20 PSI this will tell if you have a real problem or the rings are just not seated yet.

Re: LOW COMPRESSION ON FRANKENSPREE
Should have searched how to do a compression test. Its real easy to do and if you took the 15 minutes to search and read we wouldnt be discussing this right now

Re: LOW COMPRESSION ON FRANKENSPREE
then I highly doubt there is an issue here.... retest with throttle open, but dollars to donuts says your compression is 115-125 all day long which is a good thingjmcginn68 wrote:no i never tested it wot it read 75 lbs. dry + wet with throttle closed.
Re: LOW COMPRESSION ON FRANKENSPREE
There is no way the compression will jump 35 to 50 PSI from the throttle being opened.
