Re: The Daily Chat
Ruby stretched her legs today with member GKinTN.
With GK aboard the MB5, we rolled out to the Percy Warner park for 11 miles of the twistiest single lane park roads.
We swapped bikes for the last couple miles. The MB5 was not at all pleased to have suffered the additional 50 pounds,
but as long as i kept it @ 9,000 rpm it did the job.
GK says: "I can't ride this thing (Ruby) as fast as you"....
His MB5 is such a petite and nimble sweetheart, makes me want to get the NS50F revived.
With True Grits coming up in 3 months, I need to move...

...all of a sudden, when you least expect it,
appears a "Quick Reply" box at the bottom.
I guess it's okay....
Did I really need it ? Probably not... ...I'm cool
Will it help me with posting in the future ? I dunno.
Did I use it ? Yes, as soon as i saw it. ...
Do I appreciate a well-moderated forum
that continues to grow
and play a vital part
in the interest of preserving Honda scooters... You bet I do ! ! !

Is a headlight required in all 50 states? I thought it was a federal requirement.

Re: The Daily Chat
/rant
just great... Two weeks ago I lost one of my custom painted panels (left side) while I was riding and didn't even really noticed until I got to my destination and hopped off the moped. That same week, on the way home from night school, I saw my headlight grow brighter, and while I was thinking... hey, why is it brighter than usual? it died. o.O <along with it the indicator for highlights>. <Does anyone know what happened there?> Last week I made the error of transporting the moped in a cargo van thinking it'll be alright... it wasn't. It fell twice on the way to my destination. o.O I further beat up/ chipped my custom paint (this time on the top of the headlight...) and broke my left side mirror (as I'm riding it). Ah well, I think it's time to redesign my custom painted panels since I noticed they're starting to crack.
/end rant. =p

Re: The Daily Chat
Nothing like the feeling of coming home with another for the stable - now you've got company for Ruby and Jude. By the way, have you got Ruby back on the road?

Re: The Daily Chat
Negative breaze, she broke my heart, and it's taking a while to forgive her...lol
Been rockin' Nessie when I see a chance, and Jude is the grocery getter...
I did work in the garage yesterday and make room to get serious with the wrenches.
After doing a complete dismantle of a parts NS50, I had some major clean-up to do.
Laundry list:
A. Ruby's transmission
B. Jude's sudden gushing of fuel when running, probably hose time.
C. Nessie has her own list
D. motard season preps on the Tryke
E. Valve adjustment for Boss
F. And then there's Brenda now, needing loads of love.
Elroy and Earl are just hanging around.
Typically, we have another 8-10 weeks of sketchy weather and gramps is only a 2-speed: Off & Slow.....

Well chaps, I finally may have found a steed to get me around the PNW. It's not a scoot, but it will be my commuter and only mode of transportation for a while. It's a 2000 suzuki DR200 that is in seemingly phenomenal condition both aesthetically and mechanically and only sports 2,200 miles. The asking price is kind of steep at $1,900 but the guy seems like a straight shooter and I'm confident I can get it for less. Meeting him around 3p today so I'll keep you posted. Sad to take a turn from the scooter world but it won't be permanent! I plan to keep my eyes peeled for a 2t Honda to rekindle the fire that my ol' spree and '94 elite SA50 lit now three years ago. Here are a couple pics of the prospect.
