Deepinnaharta Zuma
Greetings:
This little gem recently showed up in a SE Texas version of Craigslist.
Whaddya think of the price, for a scooter that looks in fair shape but "gauge issues"? Also wonder why a new carb was necessary after only 9 years?
I'd think about picking it up myself if I weren't so short of Vital Organs to sell for transplant. Always intrigued by the idea of building a fire-breathing Minarelli. Clearly they can't be as helpful as the Spree Forum, but what's an EARL for the Zuma people?

Most of my money is spent on scooterparts. The rest is just wasted.

The nevermind link is not the same as the one for sale. The zuma 50F has the same motor basically as the C3, 4 stroke (booo hissss). The 2003 zuma yw50 I think is the better motor than the 2008-11 yw50 because of the emissions stuff but the clutch assembly and tranny is better than the 2003-05 . I just got an 08 clutch assembly for my 04 I bet the guy wants at least 800 for that 03 which is about the going rate for one in good running condition in my area I paid 200 for mine locked up from the junk yard if that says anything lol

The asking price is $750. "Runs Perfect" is in the post. Gauges should be fixable, depending on how they're wired and just what's wrong.

Re: Deepinnaharta Zuma
It's got a lot of issues listed for a bike that "runs perfect." For $750 I think owner should install a battery and get the gauges and electric starter working.
Whatever that would cost to have a shop do should come off private party value.

Greetings:
Well I hope someone here can score the $750 one. I was beginning to think they only came in blue until LMH's last link. Can anyone tell me why they weigh 50% more than an Elite SR?

Re: Deepinnaharta Zuma
With all the plastics off you would know why.. Frame is big.. Engine is big in weight and length compared to sr.. Big rims big tires.. Etc.. Try loading on the back of a pickup lol, nothing like an sr ..they respond well to parts.. My daily beater is an 03, $100 taiwan bore, polini gears, jetted stock carb and tecnigas pipe and i tell u what... It impressed the heck outta me.. Well over 50mph

Re: Deepinnaharta Zuma
Looks like someone did a "free cleanup" on that bugeye. The rear turns and beaver tail are gone. The plastic CVT cover is gone. Take a #2 phillips and pull the cluster plastics for wire inspection. I've seen everything unplugged on service bikes (assuming the owners are trying to hide miles). You can use your sa50 battery to test the electrical system, including E-start. While the battery cover is off, a compression test is just an additional 2 minutes.

Re: Deepinnaharta Zuma
X2 on the over all weight. Everything adds up. The Jog is the sa50 equivalent while the Zuma is the Kymco ZX equivalent.

Blue, gray, black (raven), yellow, and red. The '08-11 is a better unit IMO.Wheelman-111 wrote:Greetings:
