Pretty sure thats the end.
Well the long distance travel everyday has done some numbers on my Corsa and destroyed my piston. It doesnt start probably due to the piston rings being stuck. no compression. To top it off, I went all He-Man when putting everything back together, the long bolts thats hold the bore to the block, i stripped one. F U C K M Y L I F E!! Not sure if it would be wise to run it with only 3 bolts but i dont have any extra cash to pick up another dio block. can it be mended? If so I'll just pick another piston n rings.

Second: Drill the block larger. (Heli-Coil kits include drill bit and tap)7m-iata wrote:Drill the block larger tap it the right size go to home depot and get a thread insert red thread lock it in place.
Third: Tap it the right size.
FIRST: (determine the size of threads) Go to Home Depot (or auto-parts store) and get a thread insert. (the next size larger)
Fourth: Red thread lock it in place. (Loctite brand)

I am sorry to be so far behind modern technology.
I have used Heli-coils with 100% success for 30+ years.
Time Sert may be better for your application.
