The Boat
Picked this up on saturday, ive been wanting a cruiser for awhile and the Honda Helix is perfect. the 250cc (244) is awesome, i hit 71 by myself and 64 with my girlfriend on the back. the bike is all stock and has 20,000 miles. the only thing PO did as far as maintenance was change the oil, so i know im looking at some trans upgrading. also have a yoshi muffler i plan to use. ulitmate goal is to slam it like this white one i found. but the kit is out of stock and the japan site selling it wont email me back :/ but anyway onto the bike.
i know its not a 2t but i like posting my builds over here alot more then on TR

Welcome to the Helix Team...
The Kenwood option is great for those who like tunes on their ride,
although that is a bit antiquated by now.
You will find that the Helix knocks a big hole in the air...makes it a
handful at times over 50mph.
I love mine...
Congrats.

Re: The Boat
do you happen to know of any kits? i cant find anything that will go as low as id like.
i removed the oem wind screen to raise my handle bars for a more comfortable ride. i plan on getting a daytona smoked short screen.
also did my first mod, SSS sticker
i also received my rear hub from an earlier model helix. im gonna measure the bolt pattern and see if i can fit a 12x5 in the rear. kinda silly they do a 12 up front and a 10 in the rear stock.

Re: The Boat
The tire choice can be limited...
No way youu'll ever get a 12 on the rear.
What's this about raising handlebars?
I love my windscreen...lots...helmet shield no longer needed, mostly.
I may even upgrade to the extra tall one.

check it out. 130/70/12 its tight but it fits. i might try a 120/70. there is always some trimming that can be done too.
i took the plastics off the bars and loosened the four bolts and the handle bar base and pivoted the bars more upward but the only way i could do that was by removing the stock wind screen. its a more comfortable ride at 6'4.

Re: The Boat
:p I did a lot of research haha.
Was going down the highway and got it doing 80 at full tuck. I'm pretty happy with that

Re: The Boat
If the clutch on the reflex 250 and helix are the same I have one with 1100 miles and center spring you can have. It's sitting on the shelf waiting on a new home. I went with the malossi delta clutch on my last one.

Re: The Boat
Cams are different, the newer reflex uses the big ruckus engine horizontal style. Do you still have that malossi cam? If so someone at the shop may need to buy it. We don't do too many hondas up there but when we do they're usually maxis.
