89 elite Sb50 I wanna go faster
I have a 89 elite Sb50 I wanna go faster and make it handle better what can I do? Anyway to do 55+?

Go down a hill lol, nah I am pretty sure the aftermarket parts are very limited I think there is like 2-3 bbks and only a few other items to make it go fast and 50 may be its top.

When I wanted my scooter to go faster, I was told to first buy a fast truck, and second to put scooter into back of truck.

That scooter can be scary fast, but you need to do a motor swap. To anything else 2 stroke w a variator. You can do like 45-50 on a spree motor but your low end power sucks cuz it only has one gear. Get a variated afo5 from an aero or newer elite, or a minarelli motor from a zuma.

If someone can get me the messurements of the crank side I could make a variator in cad, then 3d print it and sand cast it, but there has to be a buy in. You could shop in countries that sold the Honda Pal model. Engine architecture was from Spree design, but there was a proper, if small, variator fitted to the crank. You'd need the entire pulley assembly and the cover to accommodate it. After all that research and shopping to adapt it, you probably will have spent much more than the price of a nice AF05 variated engine from an Aero or SE50, and it still won't be nearly as strong in stock form. With an SE05 you would also have some limited pipe and intake/carb options as well. If your goal is 55, I recommend you do the engine swap, or buy a scooter designed for those speeds in the first place.

Thanks for the responses what exactly will I need to do the swap? I'd be happy with anything 50+ mph I'd be open to buying a complete scooter being mine is missing pretty much all the plastics but I paid $50 for it it starts first kick everytime all the time and the headlights work! I wAnna keep the same size maybe a little better handing as well. Thanks!

Look for a stock and or maximum overdrive death machine motor > af16/af18 with pipe, carb, aircleaner box, rear wheel, motor mount, its easy just cut a part of the mount, a drilled hole in the frame for a bolt and some wire matching and solder and electrical tape.
