Identify this engine...
Can anybody identify this engine, my guess is a variated af05e but somebody with more knowledge than me would be greatly appreciated...
I own a Honda Eve and a Honda Nifty Fifty.
The Eve has a wiring harness, coils, throttle control and a starter motor from a nifty, since relying on kickstart isn't fun.

It should have the engine code # stamped on the rear of the motor

My guess is also variated AF05e. looks like a 2 bolt intake so im saying it's an 85 AF05e from another country that actually got a kicker, or a non USM kicker cover installed. it looks like it has the angled exhaust flange.
Re: Identify this engine...
Cover looks like ones on more modern motors. Interesting to hear if a late model cover fits on a 2-bolt intake Af05 (spree/Sb50) since it looks quite a bit deeper than the stocker. It could open up options for larger pulleys, clutches and maybe vari’s if the crank and primary shaft will allow.
I need to find some new haters...the ones I have are starting to like me.

Deemed too expensive for Honda to bother to certify. Probably better-than-Spree/Elite E for acceleration, but still limited to maybe 3HP.

Re: Identify this engine...
The big limiting factor on these is the cvt size. Not a very big variator, so not much of a ratio change. Quicker Acceleration I'm sure, but not crazy better. rare as hens teeth over here tho.
