Flash III In Da Ha-Oouse
Greetings:
I had to keep it under my hat, lest one of you subversive scooter scalawags thwart the Wheelman plan.
Finally the truth can be told. A mere two hours from Deepinnaharta, within striking distance, found this:
Yea, verily have I abandoned the One True AF05 faith. Go ahead and have your fun. Flash II has been relegated to the balcony at Casa Wheelman, there to await its fate. Many of its parts will migrate, some will not.
I have been reading Toast's and Noob's excellent discussions about modded SA-'Lites very attentively. That, however, will have to wait until Ms. Wheelperson lets me out of the doghouse. Sheeh, it's not as if young Wheelboy needs that transplant tomorrow! Meanwhile smooth, reliable stock can be just fine.

HOLY JEEZ
I always told myself "wheelman will get a dio when pigs fly"...
Sure enough "swine flu", and a few months later, bam you gotta dio!
Congrats, that thing is BAD *. But you must come clean on year, mileage, and price.
BTW, does it have 4... I mean 4.7 original miles? Just kidding, that was the funniest part of my thread when I got my '96 and you commented on it
Seriously, Im glad you've made it to the dark side, looking forward to all of your hard work and post updates. I've always read them, and this time they will apply to something I own!
I still want details though

Dio Details Delivered
Greetings:
Thanks for the congrats.
Wise posts:
Squirrel you have the all-time record for low miles. Mine had over 7 timesmore miles on the clock yesterday than when you bought your '96.
The story (plausible but unconfirmed) was that the wife of a commercial real estate guy got it new in late 2000. She broke a foot - not riding - and then just never took the time to ride. It was sitting under a cover in a garage until she finally had him put it up for sale. No I didn't pay the asking price.
Bottomfeeder, I just wiped BlackBerry lens for the occasion. Must've accidentally found fixed focus of this primitive minicam. Pretty clear for a Wheelman snap, if I do say so myself.
Thanks for the congrats.
Wise posts:
It's all fun, dude. SA, SE, NQ - they're different flavors of the same addictive habit. Yes, the limits evidently are higher with the AF16, but I got 60+ from Flash II. Might be safer if I'd found a Spree.Let the TRUE fun begin....

He has gone to the dark side...
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

RuedoHombre reveals:
I found this:
Holy Batguano, Ese! That's one seductively red scoot you snagged there, Bud. Congrats on an excellent score.
Yeah, I had you pegged for an all-Aero-all-the-time kinda dude. But hey - I can't blame you for jumping on that bad boy. I hope Ms RuedaEsposa lets you out of the casa/pera pronto.
Have fun. (As if you won't. )
(Apologies for the pigEspanol)

Re: Flash III In Da Ha-Oouse
Greetings:
I finally got it out for an introductory run tonight. Changed only the rear hoop to Pirelli 90/90. I haven't even adjusted the mirrors on this thing.
With only 50 miles on the odo, very long spells at full whack still seemed unwise, but I did hold it for about 30 secs and saw indicated 42 on the speedo. With characteristic Honda speedo optimism (front tire's still stock...) call it 40. Variator replacement tonight. Polini or Malossi? Tomato, Tomah-to...
