King you and baka constantly call peoples claims bs.. And this isnt true and that isnt true..your not the only one with a fast bike.. And is that all you have to say ? That im running stroker gears? You from hawaii right? Plenty peeps are running those tall gears on the 72..and baka said i would be lucky to get 55 out of my corsa ministroker.. He was wrong also.. Im not trying to be a smart * but you guys call people out way to much.. Tighten up man
Firstly baka has been in the scene for over 20 years building mopeds and secondly yeah alot of morons do run tall gears on thier bikes here without the power to push them just like with their trucks they run big tires on stock gears without the power to push those. You were running 6.9:1 before or something extremely low. Your right im not the only one with a fast bike. I honestly dont care about being the fastest. The cast iron with the factory porting will not go past 9k rpms ever ever ever ever ever i would bet my life on it. Thats the purpose of a street bore is to live down in the lower rpms so it lasts longer. The porting isnt agressive and it doesnt need to be to serve its purpose. Its not a mhr and he doesnt need the performance of a race bore that revs that high. Not even a corsa revs up as high as bones is claiming his cast did
Methinks you are correct about the MArn rev ceiling, K.
Dunno who's got the dumbest citizenry though.
7.5 gears seem not too tall.

Others have claimed 13k+ on the corsa, I have seen 13,480 on the mhr that has been obviously ported and a large motorio pipe. I have and can anytime video it, the corsa or the mhr. Or 6 other jugs for that matter.

How did you port the transfers without chipping the nickle plating?
LoveMyHonda wrote:A corsa will easily rev to 12.5 k its a fact not a question or assumption. I don't know about the marn but a corsa can and will rev.
Now thats just silly. The corsa out of the box revs 1k rpms lower than the mhr. I honestly dont beilieve you something must be calibrated wrong on your tachometer because i dont care what anyone says 12.5k for a corsa or mhr is just crazy. I simply dont believe it. You cant tell me that the polini or malossi technician porting is inferior to yours and no matter what your "set up" is theres no way in * i dont care how many jugs you have be realistic
My Corsa saw 10.6 or so a few times at 70+ MPH. Might've got to 11K with lower gears, but pretty breathless with PG long or Short at least. That was with unported block/Boost.
MArn may see 9500 with PG? That might mean 60 - 65 MPH?

Quoth King: "...gears have nothing to do with RPM..."
Say WHUT?! Once the variator maxes engine RPM climbs linearly with groundspeed. Wind drag balances power. Too-short gears let engine over-rev to internal limit. Too-tall gears leave power on the table at submaximal RPM.
I do know what you meant to say. Care to rephrase?
