Re: COOL SCOOTER ACCESSORIES?
Cool lights dog! A little light on the subject never hurts!
I received the radio today in the mail. Now trying to figure out where to install it as well as the speakers.
I hooked it up temporarily and it sounds great for $25.00.

Be careful with the remote alarms though. They have a habit of running down the battery after a couple of days with no use.

Thanks for the tip! A lot of good a alarm will do if the battery is dead!Clivester wrote:Be careful with the remote alarms though. They have a habit of running down the battery after a couple of days with no use.
Here is another somewhat cheap item to consider.

Trying to hide it may be tricky. BUT..... if you could, the 300 decibel's of sound could be fun to play with!!

300dB is a stretch I agree.Wheelman-111 wrote:Greetings:

BUT.... I'm sure it would be louder than the stock horn. Also coming from a scoot it would help out when people in those big things called cars get a little too close for comfort.

The space shuttle is around 175 to 180 dB. the sheer pressure of the soundwaves hitting you wounld kill you. at 300dB (40 times louder than hiroshima at ground zero), you may trigger another ice age. it would kill the entire planet.

Re: COOL SCOOTER ACCESSORIES?
As I was riding my sled, I thought of this one: a power port (the one that looks like an rca jack, female end). Many rider accessories use these, like helmet speakers, heated visors, heated coat, helmet communicators...

Power Port
Greetings:
That is an excellent idea! Just be careful what you plug in there. Heated coat? Probably not. Too much wattage for sad little alternator. But a cellphone charger?
Iron-Butt riders festoon these things all over their ST1100s and Beemers. Wire it right and it's a place to plug in a battery charger - suitably equipped with the proper connector - without pulling plastic! I may do this myself. You can get the cigarette lighter-style connectors for cheap at the autoparts stores. Just be sure to plug for rain when not in use. Oh, and run an inline fuse!

Re: COOL SCOOTER ACCESSORIES?
So...... a friend of mine bought me a amp and some nice handlebar speakers thinking I had not bought them already .
The unit I bought is already installed.
He doesn't live by me any longer . So I of course like a good friend would, told him on the phone. "Thank you! It sounds great !"
So now I have a extra set.
Anyone interested PM me.
