I just acquired a 1980 Express for next to nothing. She runs decent but the tires are original. Original tires are 225-14. I am only able to find 1 225-14. The shop says I can use 275-14 on the rear tire. What do you guys think? I hesitate because of the fender. I think that extra 1/2" might be to tight.
anyone have experience with this?
Thanks, ppat

Re: Tires for an express.
You can run 2.5 knobby on the 80 express but its tight fit under the fender. The reg 2.75-14 may be OK hard to say.

Thanks for the input. I ended up finding the 225 on Amazon and the shop will put it on when I get it...ppat
