Spree petcock cover falls off? FIX?

Hi,
New to the group.
I just picked up a stock 1986 Honda Spree.
The petcock cover was missing (Seems to be a common problem)
I purchased a 3D re-pop cover.
I see there is a clip that holds the top part of the cover and 2 tabs that slide behind the body panel on the bottom.
Has ANYONE come up with a better idea on mounting the petcock cover??????
