Hello, does anyone know where I can get an un-restricted pipe for my 87 se50p? I also need either a new carb setup or #85 jet and best air filter pod? Yeah, I am also planning on ordering from Daywot. (Kelly Variator and Ramp Plate) :)

LeoVince sounds like a cool pipe! Do you or anyone else know the part# for that particular pipe? and do you think it will fit my 87 elite?
Thanks, for the ideas!

Check the scootershop.com for the leo I have one on my 87 elite. They all come from overseas but well worth it in the end. Be prepared to to do some tuning on the trans though. Try this link. http://www.sip-scootershop.com/EN/Produ ... VINCE.aspx

Thanks for the replies, How many mods other than jetting and variator do you think I will need with the Leo pipe? BTW am missing stock airbox, but seems to run fair without it. Just have to clean the carb alot.

It will never run right like that and will run way too lean could damage the engine. Find a filter. Uni or custom box best is OEM. :werd:

Yeah, I know I shouldn't run it w/o the filter :( I actually was using a super cheap tecumseh paper lawn mower filter with some tape to seal  But I couldn't get it to rev very high at all. So I don't normally run it without anything to protect... Have had this elite 50 for 2yrs. Just slowly fixing and upgrading :thumbwink:
Not to beat a dead horse, but who online sells the best UNI filter for my stock Carb?

What else should I change out With the Leo SP3?

So far I am planning on Up Jetting for the best combination with pipe and Uni filter, Also need A variator and ramp plate, Since I got the Iowa model.. :eyeroll: I am sure someone has about the same setup somewhere, any other mods, tuning needed with what I am planning?
Thanks!!!!

This pipe is a cheaper alternative to a Leo Vince pipe. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/85-HONDA ... leQ5fParts It will bolt right on and wont require trans tuning. Big bang for your buck. Uni filter should be easily found locally.

Check out this thread from when I was a noob about these bikes might help you out. http://www.hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=12723

Actually at this point i went back to the stock aero unrestricted muffler with a k&n pod filter and a 90 jet it runs good doesnt bog. I couldnt get the lv pipe to run right with my set up at this point but marty has used one on his stock bore so it can be done. Look into a prodigy variator and weight set on ebay that will net you some more speed, maybe a new belt depending on how many miles are on it. Thats a nice looking elite congrats enjoy it...
