Re: SKI Scooters
It's staying warm that gets me. Although that is a unsettling feeling riding on icy roads with two wheels.

Re: SKI Scooters
You guys have tires that hook up in snow/ice???
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.
Re: SKI Scooters
kenny good to see you back!! it was mentioned to me in a PM to try a deflated knobby tire.

Re: SKI Scooters
Riding in snow is a lot like riding in sand, hence the last picture. An aggressive motoX knobbie running under-pressure so there is the most surface area. They don't exactly 'hook up' but they are much better than street tires. Ice is another story. The best I have found is studding a trail knobbie (the kind with very little space between lugs) or (for those of us on a budget) using screws as studs.Kenny_McCormic wrote:You guys have tires that hook up in snow/ice???

Re: SKI Scooters
Greetings:
Just remember that the ski eliminates the front - and most important - brake. A knobby rear tire, studded or not, might make for some tense moments if you need to haul down in a hurry.
