Problems attaching pictures
Anyone having problems attaching pictures to their posts? Tried adding four pictures to describe something and I get an error saying the file is too large. Tried again with just one normal iPhone picture and same error.

Re: Problems attaching pictures
iPhone photos are huge.. multiple megabytes each. Try emailing your photos to yourself and see if there is an option to make them smaller. If so, once you receive your email with the reduced in size photos, save them to your iPhone and try attaching them to your post. If that doesn't work, get an app from the app store that lets you resize photos, and use it. Try to get your photos less than 500 KB each.
Re: Problems attaching pictures
You're not the only one. Attaching pictures to this forum is nothing but a pain.
I have to email my pics to myself. Reduce them by 50%. Even then I can only add one at a time.
There must be a better easier way. If its not easy people wont do it.

Go on the app store, and search for: reduce photo size . Then download one of the many apps, use it, easy peasy. There is no reason to upload a 18 MB high-res iPhone photo for viewing from the web.. a complete waste of storage space. You won't be able to see any less clarity with a 500 KB photo.

Thanks for the suggestions! Apparently it’s 1999 and there’s no room for a picture from 2020.

Get a better phone that allows for native resolution settings
Re: Problems attaching pictures
We host images locally, so we don't have the problem around image hosters that all of a sudden want money from you to see your own photos, or share them... entire posts on other forums that are worthless b/c photos are missing.
Since photos are locally hosted, I limit the size that can be uploaded, b/c the site pays for hosting, and having a gazillion 10meg photos of dirty carbs gets expensive.

Re: Problems attaching pictures
That makes sense I understand why you don’t want to spend a lot of money hosting photos. What is the file size limit per post? The trial and error of making a post and attaching the right size photo or photos is a little frustrating. A quick little post all of a sudden takes a lot longer.

600K. Perhaps that should get published...
